Things to note for light-colored hair
Share
Light-colored extensions, especially blonde, white, or light gray hair, often require special care and attention to maintain their appearance and extend their lifespan. Here are some things to keep in mind:
1. Avoid Direct Sunlight Exposure
Light-colored extensions are more prone to fading than dark-colored wigs. Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause the color to dull and lose its original shine.
Try to avoid placing the wig in direct sunlight. When wearing it outdoors, consider using a sun hat or other accessories to protect the extensions.
2. Avoid Excessive Heat Styling
Light-colored extensions tend to be more fragile, and excessive heat can cause the extensions to lose its shape or color. If the extensions is made of synthetic fibers, avoid using blow dryers or straighteners. If the extensions is 100% human hair, you can style it like natural hair using low heat tools, but proceed with caution.
3. Proper Storage
When not in use, store the extensions in a clean, dry place. It's best to place the extensions on a wig stand or inside a soft bag to prevent it from getting deformed.
You can cover the wig with a net to protect it from dust.
4. Avoid Dyeing
Although some extensions may be dyed, it's generally not recommended to dye light-colored extensions, especially synthetic ones. Dyeing can cause color inconsistencies or damage the texture of the extensions.
